I thought that the JSON file was only needed for Android devices.

I had the same issue and solved it changing the stand-alone settings using My-eTraining app on iOS.

when i set up the slope or resistance on my Garmin, it works for more or less 20 seconds and then the resistance is increasing by itself... I had this problem after updating as well. I have a similar problem with my Forerunner when trying to control the trainer. However, it only started after the last trainer firmware update.

The resistance is too high even if I set the power on Garmin for less than 100W.
