Re: Direto - Belt Replaced now Calibration WAY off
I’ve just replaced mine and was able to get it close to the spec, but it was always lower than the factory offset. The only issues with mine is when the locking bolt is loose I get 1 number and with it tightened it’s -2 of what I achieved during calibration. My numbers are 10% too high, but this has...

Re: Power measurement
A few things have happened since then, but in short: - belt tore - replaced belt and calibrated to within 2 points of factory offset - tested against Powertap P1 & Favero Assioma dual sided pedals and both show ~10% lower power readings than the direto - Elite Italy have agreed on a replacement ...

Re: Direto power off by around 50 watts
As an update to my situation. In summary: - belt tore/snapped - Elite Australia were very quick to provide a replacement pulley and belt - installed and calibrated unit to within 3 points of the factory offset - tested the unit against two power sources Powertap P1 dual sided pedals and Favero Assio...

Re: Direto power off by around 50 watts
Hi We're saying that the difference may be up to a 5%. Of course you have to add a +/-2% of error due to the trainer precision and another error due to the power sensor precision (let's suppose a 1%). This means that the error may reach a max of a+/-8% in the worst situation. If the error is more t...

Re: Direto power off by around 50 watts
Some quick answer to all of you (sorry, missed from the forum for a couple of months due to other projects). If Direto power is different from the one you have on your power sensor check calibration. If the offset is different from the original one, it may be necessary to tighten the belt. CONTACT ...

Re: Direto power off by around 50 watts
My Direto is 14-20w off measured against Powertap P1 dual sided pedals, the trainer is within offset spec. I’ve compared my pedals to another trainer is much smaller differential more like 3-5w which is acceptable (Kurt Kinetic). Elite are questioning the pedals so I’m getting as much data with oth...

Re: direto erg mode in zwift
The power smoothin value is not a "time" option, it is the number of pedal strokes that will be averaged. If you put it at 6, it means that the power shown will be the average power of the latest 6 pedal strokes. The higher the value, the more averaged will be the power. where is the valu...

Support has advised it should be within 5 from the factory value? So which is it? Exact value or within 5 of the factory offset?
Thanks

Power measurement
Hi All, New to the forum so thanks for having me. I’ve been doing some power comparisons between my Powertap P1 dual side pedals & the Direto. So far what I’ve noted is a consistent difference in average and normalised power of roughly 15w which equates to ~8-10% where the Direto reads higher. I...
