Direct Drive is the way to go.
I would take a look at the Kickr Core, or if you're tight on budget, a Kickr Snap

Elite's support for their products is so terrible, its not worth it mobdro kodi.
I bought a Drivo in 2017 with the promise they would release a Firmware update so I could use their Pedal analisys while riding some trainnings..
...still waiting for their first Firmware update ever

I'm sorry for your disappointment.
Pedal analysis is a test that requires the resistance control. That's why it's not possible to do it while riding other trainings.
You can connect only "in reading", without the resistance control, but I don't know if this is what you're looking for
