From early 2000's to mid2010's I created a number of DVD's from video files using Nero software on a Windows PC (XP, the 8.1, the 10). I have now stopped using DVD's and want to copy them all to a hard drive on my NAS but for some reason about 20% are not recognised by my Windows 11 desktop or Windows 10 laptop (they do not show up in Explorer) and when in my BluRay player I get an "Invalid Disk" error. However my 25yr old Sony DVD player can play them with no problem.
They also show up in explorer on an old Windows XP laptop but unfortunately the DVD drive is faulty so I can't use that to extract the video files.
Does anybody have any idea what the cause may be and how I can get my desktop computer to recognise them ?
