Rattling sound when switching on Direto

When switching on my Dirt I hear this rattling sound. In addition I hear the sound sometimes during the ride and the resistance get's higher and higher all the time until I just have to stop riding. See the movie in the link.

Hi, I have the exact same thing happening to my trainer too, It's been doing it for a few weeks. The Resistance stays on what ever I do, and if I turn it on and off a few times then it lets me cycle but then after 5-7 minutes its all ok, I've checked the belts and greased up and all looks fine, Do we need an update as in 4 years my Trainer has never had an update ?

Should be any easy fix. Remove all the gunk from the spindle - I used baby wipes. Best done when the spindle is fully extended, use the Elite training ap to extend by altering the resistance. When all the previous grease is gone, re-grease and you should be good to go. I normally have to do this once a year but your spindle as it looks needs a good clean
