adapter for thru axle

i just received the Direto XR and wanted to adjust the adapters for the thru axle. problem is that i can't tighten it, because there is not enough screwing thread on the adapter itself. is that normal that the adapter stays very loose? i am speaking of the adapter for the right side, where the cassette is.
