Hello Elite,

I'm having problems with my bandnew Elite Direto XR-T. I have set everything up according to the manual but the chain of the bike makes clancky/rattling noise especially on the smaller sprockets, and I can hardly use the smallest sprocket of the cassete.
I have this issue on both my bikes ( Pina Dogma and Pina Gan RS ) and with both cassettes ( R8000 and R9100) mounted on the Direto.
When I put my diffrent wheelsets ( Xentis – DT Swiss) in both my bikes, all gears and everything works perfectly without noise or shifting issues. The problem only occurs on the Direto XR-T. It sounds like if something is not correctly aligned when I put my bike(s) on the Direto.
Both cassettes are not worn, and the chains on both my bikes are new, or nearly new.
I'm very concerned by this. No matter how much I swap or re-install my bikes on the Direto, the problem stays, notheless everything is installed fine and according to the manual.
Please advise !

Regards,
Robert

It seems a problem related to the gear.
Contact your trusted mechanic and ask him to adjust the gear

Hello,

The explanation above doesn't make a lot of sense!
If my bike is on the Direto, there isn't a rear wheel in it !!
I also explained that this only occures with both bikes ON the Direto.
Gears of both my bikes are working perfect with all kind/brand of wheels i own.
it is of course the easiest explanation to claim that my gears are not being correctly adjusted, while everything is working perfect as long my bikes are not on the Direto.
regards,
Robert.

Sorry, my fault...
I've really bad written the sentence.

I'll try to explain better the situation.
The problem seems caused by the gear and our mechanics think that the problem can be solved with a fine tuning of the gear.
If a gear doesn't have problem while you use it outdoor, it doesn't mean that it will work in the same exact way on the trainer (often a fine adjustment is needed). And this is also valid if you use different bikes.

That said, this is what we can think by simply reading your description.
If this is not the cause of the problem, the best thing to do is to take a video (with details on the cassette) and send it to our support

Hi Robert, I have a similar problem with Shimano XT 10-51 (12 speed). The smallest cog is loud, there is a loud clicking noise (not the same as if the chain wants to ho to another cog)... Can you please tell me, how you resolved your issue?

Thank you and best regards,
Marko
