Qubo B+ calibration issues?

I'm getting power values 20-50 watts different from power pedals, so when using interactive apps I'm only given speeds between 4 and 12 mph. When I try to calibrate using the desktop app, it stays at P1, and several times I've ridden for up to 15 mins within the red zone and nothing else happens, it won't move to the next stage. As HR and cadence are accurate in the apps it's not an ANT+ connection issue.

In addition the trainer won't connect to my Xperia ZX so I can't try to calibrate via bluetooth.

Any suggestions?
