Hi - I've submitted a formal support ticket, and also let the reseller in the UK know my unit is faulty, but because I'm really needing some help, thought I'd see if anyone else knows of this problem. This is really important to me as I bought this as an expensive unit to enable me to work properly and it's a disaster RIGHT NOW if I can't. I need a replacement as fats as one can be shipped to me (or a way to fix myself)
Unit leaking oil out of the bottom. Only noticed when taking a look to see if the cassette was lose or something as was making an odd 'tractor' noise intermittently once it warmed up (roughly 30 minutes)
Noticed the oil and then could feel oil at the bottom of the unit where it is screwed together.
tested the screws - one was able to be tightened half a turn. Could that be enough to cause a leak?
In which case - what do i do - can I add oil myself? to save returning the unit al the way back to Italy? Or is it already broken now that it's making the noise and I need to ask for a replacement one?

Re: Oil loss - Real Turbo Muin B+
I suppose the obvious question is - should I get a replacement for this and get a new one, or should I just ask Elite how to add oil (if the can supply the oil) to the unit?

PPS - actually - has this product been discontinued this year after just buying one last year) ? If so, anyone know why?

Hi Martin
I've been told that our customer care has suggested you to return the trainer to the shop for a complete replacement as to repair it you'd need special equipment. The technician that has followed your case is trying to find a solution regarding the return, please stay in contact with him to solve the problem.
About the fact that the product has discontinued, it is not for a tech issue (if it is this that worries you )
Simply, we try to develop new products every year. When the Drivo was released, we decided to stop producing the RTM as their characteristics were similar (Drivo is almost an evolution of RTM).
Regards

Hi.
Is there a solution to this as my trainer (the same in question) is sounding bad. I have currently stripped it down and wondering what oil to put in it?
I can't return it to the shop as I bought it quite some time ago.
Thanks nath.

Re: Oil loss - Real Turbo Muin B+
Hi,
After numerous emails and the trainer being sent off to Madison UK I have been told nothing can be done to the trainer. It is out of warranty so can't be replaced and Madison have said it can't be fixed but didn't say why. I did send a video of the problem i was having to Elite support (Andrea Brotto) they said it was a mechanical issue. Could someone please tell me can this be fixed or is it totally broke? i am willing to pay for it to be fixed.
Kind regards,
Nath

Re: Oil loss - Real Turbo Muin B+
How did you get on with this problem as my brand new turbo is making this noise now. Plus, I'm now certain whether it's oil or not, but there was a puddle under my unit this morning after using it last night but it seems very thin /light oil if it is....
Re: Oil loss - Real Turbo Muin B+
What I did try was draining the original oil and putting in something with the same viscosity. I then sealed the unit with glue but It never worked I still had the same noise.
I put the original oil back in and put the trainer in a box in my garage where it's been ever since.
I gave up in the end! Madison said it couldn't be fixed and the warranty on mine had ran out. I lost out on 1000 pound trainer. Elites customer services are rubbish and I told them! Probably why they never replied to me.
Thing that annoys me is if it's mechanical as Madison said why could it not be fixed!
