This new firmware sounds amazing! Lots of features that up till now were exclusive to the Justo.

Re: New Firmware v80
Upgrado telling me 078 is the latest version and not offering me the 080 version. I use Apple TV and with the 2 BTLE connections limitation this pass through functionality will be a game changer

Re: New Firmware v80
Apparently you have to log out of the Upgrado app then log back in for it to show up. All loaded now and done a few rides on MyWhoosh. The sensor bridge feature is great for grabbing my ANT+ only HRM and cadence sensors then rebroadcasting them over Bluetooth as a single connection for my Apple TV to grab.

HRM bridge does not appear to work on RGT using Apple TV. It is not being seen. I still have to connect directly to my BTLE HRM. Works great on MyWhoosh on iPad
Re: New Firmware v80
Any experiences with the ERG-mode improvements yet, is the upgrade worth it?
I am hoping for these two issues to be fixed (when trainer is controlled by a Garmin Edge)
- extreme high resistance when starting an ERG session
- occasional shorts power dropouts

ERG mode looks much smoother.
Easy Start thing works as expected.
Zwift super tuck works as expected.
Cardio bridge works as expected.
(I'm using a Direto XR-T)

Re: New Firmware v80
Regarding the new update, which connection method is now preferable for the trainer, BLE or ANT+? Does the "Bridge Function" support ANT+ for connecting a heart rate monitor to the Direto XR and then connecting the Direto XR to your computer via ANT+?
Do you have any insights into which method provides a smoother experience?
Thank you.

Re: New Firmware v80
Have installed the new firmware v80 - hate it!! It has destroyed the flywheel coasting effect. Seems that with the instant drop of power to 0 you now get when you stop pedalling, your speed instantly starts to slow too, and very quickly accelerates to slowing very quickly. This is not like real life where you can coast on a flat bit of road at about the same speed for a little before your speed gradually begins to drop. This is not how it used to react. The upshot of this is that you effectively don't have any flywheel effect any more. It also means you cannot really rest on a long ride any more. You used to be able to spin up a little and then coast for 5 seconds or so and still maintain at a more or less constant speed - and get a brief stretch and rest. Now if you spin up a little and then try to coast it takes about a second for your watts to drop to 0 then you instantly start to slow, meaning you then have to do a little sprint to get your speed up again. Not restful at all. I compared the new firmware and how it reacts to my bike power meter connected directly to Zwift, effectively cutting out the Direto flywheel coasting effect, and i couldn't tell the difference between using the bike power meter with Zwift and the Direto power meter and flywheel!! Very disappointed as I am a long distance specialist and need to be able to stand up and rest often. If this is not fixed soon I may have to get rid of my Direto!! I might as well have a very cheap trainer with a small or no flywheel and just use my bike power meter.

Re: New Firmware v80
I have been trying to do the v80 firmware update to my Direto XR using the upgrado app on my iphone. I have managed to get it all connected and the update starts but gets to 1% and sits just telling me to wait. I have left it for 2hr but the upgrade has not progressed. Has anyone had a similar problem or any sollutions? Stuart
