DRIVO2 RUMOROSO per flessione

Postby motorampy » Fri May 08, 2020 9:44 am

Salve.

Sergio

@ottos60,

My Drivo II has recently started making this cracking and clicking sound too. In this picture it shows that a bolt must be tightened: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1znlwa ... jhx6DsP0hP

How do I remove the casing of the Drivo II to get access to this bolt? Is there a service sheet describing this?

@motorampy

Thanks
Barry

Hi

In this document is described how to check resistance in the various trainers.

If you select the Drivo/Drivo2 section, there's a video that show how to remove the plastic cover

@EliteAdminS
Thanks for your reply. I searched and found this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DyHdfx ... 1If7X/view

I guess the other side's removal is similar to that shown.

I also found this which shows both sides being removed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yc0grEz0cOw

OK, I was able to solve my particular problem of my Drivo II cracking/creaking sound problem. It WAS connected with the bolt depicted here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1znlwaI ... sP0hP/view

First I had to order a 200mm long PH2 screwdriver so that I could remove one of the deeply placed screws of the plastic case surrounding the trainer.
Once the case was off (taking care with the wire connector for the power and the cadence sensor) I was able to get to the bracket attaching the front stand to the trainer body. It was not enough to just tighten the bolt and nut depicted in the image, the bolt was very tight and could not be tightened any more. But there was still a lot of play on the joint and I decided to install two very thin spacer washers on each side of the bolt between the leg of the front stand and the bracket (with an oval hole at front in picture) which connects to the trainer with four long bolts. I had to completely remove the four bolts to do this. All of the play is now taken up by the two spacers.

After reattaching the plastic sides of the trainer the cracking/creaking noise is gone.
